Texture Obsession

This drawing is all about the beauty and the complexity of textures – the ink technique seems to exist for depicting all kinds of intricate surfaces. The purpose of this drawing was an attempt of mixing together various kinds of animal horns and species of bugs – both categories of these objects are very interesting from the point of textures.

And here are the fragments 🙂

Honestly speaking, I like how it looks. This drawing reminds me of a late spring forest and is associated with green and brown colors (isn’t it strange?)

Large-scale artworks grant a spacious room for details, so every new piece is a challenge. Dealing with such an unforgivable tool like ink, the stakes are high – an artist should be careful and attentive with every hatch or dot.

Thanks for watching!
